Course Description:
Instruction is divided into eight specialty areas of training to coincide with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) training areas: (1) automatic transmission/transaxle, (2) brakes, (3) electrical systems, (4) engine performance, (5) engine repair, (6) heating and air conditioning, (7) manual drive train and axles, and (8) suspension and steering. The goal is to prepare students for entry-level jobs in as many areas as possible.
Second year seniors may take part in a cooperative work experience second semester with acceptable teacher recommendation, attendance, and grades. Students must provide their own transportation.
