Course Description:
Culinary Arts provides training for planning, figuring of costs, managing, preparing, and serving of food in commercial restaurants and semi-public institutions. All phases of food preparation and serving are covered through classroom activities and the operation of a restaurant which is open during the lunch hour. Employment possibilities include general cook, short-order cook, chef, supervisor, management, waiter or waitress, bus-boy or bus-girl, hostess, and baker.
