Career Exploration

The purpose of the Ben Davis High School Vocational Program is to prepare students to become productive members of the work force and independent members of the community. The prime directive is to provide students with disabilities the vocational training required to succeed in community based settings.

Students are individually evaluated so the best educational program is provided. This evaluation is utilized to develop instructional strategies for vocational placement. Adaptations are developed to enhance the students performance. Support is provided by classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, job coaches, and other essential staff members.

Ben Davis High School would like to invite the business community to share in our efforts to prepare our students to live and work successfully in an integrated world. Research supports the fact that educational training in the natural environment helps students become more efficient, effective, and productive.
