| Foreign Exchange | Each year, BDHS partners with approved organizations to provide study abroad opportunities for high school guests. These students undergo a screening process and are approved to attend BDHS for one academic year. Wayne Township families adopt young men and young women from all over the world to stay in their homes for the calendar year. In the past, we have been honored to host students from Germany, France, Spain, Estonia, Denmark, People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Brazil, Chile, Sweden, as well as many other countries. To learn more about participating as a host family for an academic school year, please contact Linda Toure. | Ms. Toure |

All members of NHS will work 30 hours of community service. There is a mandatory 15 hour tutoring process within the 30 hours of community service. The four fundamentals of NHS are character, leadership, scholarship, and service. At graduation NHS students are honored by wearing white stoles signifying their honor. Juniors are inducted at the end of the year and will be working on their hours during their senior year. | Mrs. Schmitt Mrs. Mauser |

Likewise, Senior Mentors are also expected to participate in service learning. They serve as Ben Davis ambassadors and servants to the Wayne Township Community, meeting a multitude of needs by logging monthly volunteer hours at various community organizations through after school tutoring and other outreach programs. | Mr. Proctor |
