Media Center Rules and Procedures
- Students may NOT have coats, book bags, head-gear, cell phones, electronic devices, or food, etc.
- Students may NOT have drinks (including water) in the media center. All drinks should be discarded or placed in a cubby and retrieved upon leaving
- Students must have a hand-written, legitimate pass (preferably PURPLE) from the academic teacher (not a study hall or substitute teacher) and a specific purpose.
- Teacher will send no more than five students from any one class at a time. If more than five students need to visit, the teacher should sign up and accompany students.
- Student passes must be initialed by the teacher (or clearly state return) if students are expected to return to class--otherwise, students will remain in the media center until the end of the period. If more than one student is on a pass, students must arrive together and depart together.
- Students who wish to visit the media center during lunch must have a pass (Permanent Passes are available)*.
- Students must STAY FOCUSED AND ON TASK.
- Students with Wayne Township Schools overdue or lost books MAY NOT check out books until all items are returned or paid.
- Overdue books must be returned or charges paid before graduation*.
- Students must SIGN IN IMMEDIATELY AND PRESENT ID upon entering the media center. Passes will not be accepted without a CURRENT school I.D.
- Students must SIGN OUT with a pass when leaving the media center before the end of the period (includes restroom, guidance, dean, nurse, etc.)
- Students must REMAIN SEATED until the bell rings.
- Students must obey all school computer rules & policies.
