Ambassadors The BDU Ambassadors are the face of the school when we host tours or have special guests in the building.  These students will attend presentation when students are needed to speak about the BDU program. Flora Jones
Basement Dwellers The club at BDU that can literally make all your fantasies come true... through role-playing! Card games, RPG, and comics are in abundance. Designed to encourage camaraderie and leadership as well as spread the joy of gaming, this club welcomes all. So roll the dice and join! Lisa Stephens
Basketball Club Work on your jump shot, defense, or come to work together as a team!  We play every Monday and Wednesday. Amelia Vernon
Battle of the Books We compete annually against other Indianapolis high schools in a competition of knowledge and wits. The team consists of 7 members who read 7-8 of the Rosewater books. Jessica Siegelin
Business Professionals of America BPA is an organization for high school students interested in having a career in business management, office administration, information technology, and other related fields.  The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. Cardio Club The cardio room is open two days a week after school to students.  Keep in shape by working out after school.  Students must provide their own transportation. Patrick Burtch
Class Officers The Class Officer Executive Board is elected by each representative class at Ben Davis University High School. The Class Officers seek to unify the student body by building class spirit, promoting community service, and encouraging participation in school activities. The Class Officer Executive Board is also responsible for prom fund-raisers and assisting to plan prom. Kelly Wallace/ Jessica Siegelin
Debate Team The Debate Team at BDU is aimed at developing the next generation of leaders through the power of debate and speech. Our goal is to create an environment that fosters growth and development through debate and competition. Patrick Burtch
Developers Club Developers Club is an opportunity for students to learn computer programming while working on the development of Android apps for cell phones and tablets. Patrick Burtch
ECO Club The ECO Club strives to make BDU a more sustainable and eco-friendly school. Our goal is to raise awareness of environmental degradation through education and environmental activism throughout the school and community. Patrick Burtch
Flag Football Club The flag football club is an after school activity where we meet every Tuesday and Thursday. This is a way for students to get to interact with one another and have fun. Flag football is a sport that allows all students of all skill levels to participate in a team environment. Every time we meet, teams are picked at that time and students get to play with and against different “teams” every time. Jah Blamo
Girl Talk Girl Talk is a group designed to build relationship skills as girls meet to discuss both topics of interest and specific challenges faced as well as participate in community projects. Girl Talk meets each first and third Monday of the month. Flora Jones & Diana Paige
International Club The International Club celebrates cultural diversity and shares the world’s, cultures, foods, and people with the student body. Efila Jzar
National Honor Society National Honor Society and its members strive to uphold the four principles of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.  Members participate in individual and group service projects that benefit our school and community.  To be considered for a membership, a student of BDUHS must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25.  Currently, there are 53 BDUHS chapter members. Running Club Join us every Tuesday after school for a jog in the park!  Whether you are an experienced runner or a first timer, all are welcome! Lorene Sandifur
SAT & ACT Prep SAT and ACT test prep sessions are being held every Monday after school from 4:25 to 5:25. Sessions are free and everyone is welcome. Andrew Bradley
S.A.V.E. A National, Non-profit organization created by students for student that promotes the virtues of civility and respect by helping students of all ages learn how to care for other people. SAVE’s mission is to decrease the potential for violence in schools and communities by promoting meaningful student involvement, education and service opportunities in efforts to provide safer environments for learning. Scholarship Search Club Scholarship Search Club is an opportunity for any BDU student to learn about available scholarships. Some topics discussed include types of scholarships, where to find scholarships and scholarship and college essay writing. The club meets during purple AND gold club days in the media center computer lab. Elise Martinelli
Step Club The AKDMKLY UNIQUE steppers are a group of hardworking, dedicated, aspiring young ladies and men, who have come together as a team to represent their school in a positive and productive manner. Student Council Student Council is the students’ voice at BDU.  Student Council is a representative structure for students in which they can become involved in school affairs, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and students.  Student Council plans major events like the Blackout Dance and Relay for Life, field day, the school talent show, as well as community service projects like Riley Kids Caring and Sharing. Student/Preschool Assistants Students may choose to give up study hall to be a teacher’s assistant, media center assistant, office assistant, or pre-school assistant. BDU Administration
UCafe The UCafe is BDU’s coffee shop and lunch spot where students get an opportunity to experience the operations of a food business. Our students help to provide a fun and relaxing environment for the entire building to enjoy some good food and beverages. Patrick Burtch
Utv Club The Utv Crew produces a bi-monthly show that is relevant to our students.  Students learn to work together as a team and gain experience in public speaking, technology, working with deadlines, and creative expression. Jessica Siegelin
