Welcome to the award-winning student radio, Giant 90.9, WBDG-FM, one of America's finest high school radio stations. WBDG is a student-run, school operated radio station at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Broadcasting on a FM frequency of 90.9 MHz, the station went on the air full time on February 14, 1966. Today, the station operates 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Student broadcasters constitute the air staff of WBDG. Students are supervised by a member of the Ben Davis High School/Area 31 Career Center faculty. WBDG and BDTV, its younger sibling, make up one of the finest student media programs in the United States. The two programs have combined to win several national and state awards. In 2005, WBDG won the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Radio School of the Year Award.Giant 90.9 is one of just an estimated 150 high school radio stations on the air today in the U.S. and one of five in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
