Chapel Glen Academies
Academy of Leadership and Service: This academy will be running a "Pop Tabs for Riley Hospital" collection during the school year. Students will collect pop tabs at home and bring them to school. These pop tabs will then be donated to Riley Hospital which can be exchanged for a financial donation to the hospital. Also, the academy sponsors the annual Canned Food Drive in December.
Academy of Science and Environmental Studies: The Academy holds several science shows throughout the year. Last year the students were treated to 3 science shows. The Academy of Science and Environmental Studies raised $150 for the Humane Society of Indianapolis. Fund raisers this year will be donated to a school beautification project.
Academy of Communication and Citizenship: This academy strives to inspire positive citizenship and effective communication. The academy utilizes speakers, which have included Stan Ellis, School Board President; Walter Johnson, WTLC "DJ Smoov;" and Khris Raye, "The First Lady."
Academy of Literature and Creativity: This academy is currently pursuing projects to complete during the school year.
