Parent Welcome Center

The Chapel Hill 7th & 8th Grade Center’s Staff welcomes our parents and community. Remember that parents must sign in at the front desk and obtain a visitors sticker. Please feel free to stop by the center located next to the Media Center entrance. We hope you will find helpful information in helping us shape the lives of our students. Please feel free to work with us to schedule parent meetings and events in advance and in the Welcome Center.   Note:  Parents who wish to have lunch with your child will eat in the Welcome Center.

Visitors
Parents and legal guardians are welcome in the school to observe the overall setting of a classroom and/or your child’s behavior, and must report directly to the main office upon arrival in order to sign in and obtain a Visitor’s pass. All visitors will be escorted to your first stop inside CHC. If you wish to speak to your child’s teacher about his/her progress, please be sure to schedule a time to meet with him or her.

We request that instructional time not be used to discuss your student. The teacher’s prep time, early morning, or the end of the school day would be an excellent time to make an appointment. All visitors should be aware administration reserves the right to approve or deny a request for visits to enter the building, if we believe safety is an issue or the visit may be disruptive to the learning environment. Students should not invite or bring friends or young relatives to school. Social visiting is not allowed.
