Student Services

The Guidance Department provides the following services: personal, academic and career counseling, and educational planning and testing. Counselors work with students to improve social, organizational and academic skills to enable students to master the essential skills and academic standards. Small group interventions are established throughout the school year to assist with decision making and attendance.

Cummins Mental Health Services
Cummins Mental Health Services provide outpatient services within the school setting. The mission of this program is to provide behavioral health services within the community and in a more natural environment for the child and family. Schools provide an excellent location for these services. It allows a more collaborative environment between the schools, mental health professionals, and the child and his/her family. Students are referred to Cummins by the Guidance Counselors, Administration, and parent request. Parents must be in agreement prior to any services being rendered.
