Textbook Rental and Care

Textbooks are issued to students for their use in classes where the student will be completing homework at home. In very few classrooms, there may be a classroom set of books for class use, but there would never be a need to take them home. Textbooks are only one source of information students use to master the content. MSD of Wayne Township sets the fees for all classes and then assesses parents their share of the books and materials according to the classes that a student is scheduled. Textbooks are purchased in a six-year cycle and your share is only for one year, therefore it is important that you protect the life of the book until the next adoption. If a textbook is damaged or lost the parent will be assessed the cost of the replacement. The accounts that are accrued will follow the student through the school corporation and must be paid prior to high school graduation. Students are to keep supplies and books in the locker and are not to loan them to any other students.
