Mrs. Davidson--The Webmaster

As the webmaster for Wayne Township, I have a major challenge in maintaining a large web site which continually grows. I have taught in the Business Department for eighteen years teaching. I began teaching Web Page Design in January of 1998. Prior to this I taught Accounting 3/4, Computerized Accounting, Computer Applications 1 and Computer Applications 2. Designing web pages brought an entirely new challenge to me as all of my students at that time I began teaching this new course had been designing web pages for an entire semester.  Our web site has grown at a very fast pace since our web presence in the summer of 1998.  I am very proud of the work we do for the MSD of Wayne Township.  

We have an awesome administration which supports our program in every facet.  I am very fortunate to work for a great school system. I appreciate the financial support of the Wayne Township Education Foundation. They accepted a grant proposal which aided in the purchase of a new SLR digital camera in May of 2008.

The MSD of Wayne Township web site has received numerous awards. During the 2002-03 school year the Ben Davis High School web site received several awards including Midlink Magazine Cool School Award, Nu-Horizons Educational Award of Excellence, USA Today Educators Best Bet Award, The Teacher's Corner Award of Excellence for Education Web Sites, and EduNet's Choice Award. The Wayne Township web site was selected as the Cool School of the Week for the week of March 3, 2004 by Education World.

I have been blessed with several prestigious awards in my teaching career.   In 2002 I was selected by my peers as the Ben Davis Teacher of the Year. I also received the AES IPALCO Golden Apple Award and Wayne Township Teacher of the Year. I then became a Top Ten Finalist for Indiana Teacher of the Year for 2003. In addition, I was selected as the 2004 Outstanding Classroom Teacher by the Indiana Business Education Association.

My husband also teaches in the Math Department at Ben Davis.  He is an assistant football coach and is also the head coach for 2008, 2009, and 2010 IHSAA State Championship boys track team. With what little spare time I have, I enjoy playing golf, running, traveling, and spending time with my husband and two dogs.  Gracie is a two-year old weimaraner and Goldie is a fifteen-year old miniature dachshund.

Every year I continue to be blessed with great web design students. I currently work with a very dedicated group of designers who are constantly challenged by a demanding webmaster.  This keeps our website current on a regular basis.
