« Ben Davis High School - Key Club
Super Kids! The Ben Davis High School Key Club helped out tremendously with a program called Super Kids-Super Sharing. The program, sponsored by the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee, asked schools to donate new or gently used books, sports equipment, and school supplies to children in need. The Key Club gathered several hundred items, and overall the district donated some 1,500 items. In return, our schools will receive thousands of items through the program.

« Chapelwood Elementary - Promethean Board

Lynhurst 7th and 8th - Tower Building »
Students at Lynhurst 7th and 8th Grade Center test the efficiency of balsa wood towers that they designed and built using balsa wood and glue. Students worked in pairs and were required to research tower designs on the internet, create scale drawings of the towers, construct the towers, and then test their efficiency. Students were required to use ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to create the scale drawings. The students strengthened both their science and math skills with this project.
