MSD of Wayne Township District Mission
The mission of the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township, a partnership of students, staff, families, and
community, is to ensure all students acquire and apply knowledge, skills, processes, and values, to become lifelong
learners and contributors in a democratic society through a comprehensive program of outstanding quality
which enables them to develop their potential.
MSD of Wayne Township District Goals
To reflect the expanded state assessment system and to recognize the joint planning and training occurring the
school district’s goal was revised resulting in the following:
The M.S.D. of Wayne Township takes pride in our past accomplishments, which have provided a strong
foundation for learning. Building upon this tradition, we are committed to increased student learning through our
Wayne Township Continuous Improvement System. With this in mind, we have established the following goals:
Student Achievement
- Improve individual student achievement, especially in reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies, by exceeding national, state, and district standards.
Community Partnership
- Strengthen the partnership and support for learning among students, staff, families, and community.
School Environment
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and orderly environment for teaching and learning.
Staff Effectiveness
- Enhance staff effectiveness by providing professional development, recognition, leadership, and collaborative opportunities.
