How is the MSD of Wayne Township Using Taxpayers' Dollars in 2012-13?
You may have wondered how the money the MSD of Wayne Township receives from state support and local property taxes is used. As you can see from this graphic, the lion's share of every dollar we receive -- more than 57% -- goes directly to the classroom for student instruction.

But instruction isn't the only way in which we deliver services directly to our 16,000 students. We use our taxpayers' dollars in other ways that are essential to getting our students to school (6% for transportation) and keeping them in a clean and comfortable environment while they're in our care (more than 4% for custodial services, and more than 3% for facilities upkeep and utilities).

Without the support of the taxpayers of Wayne Township and the state of Indiana, our students would never reach their full potential. We are grateful that support allows us to provide services to the children of Wayne Township.
