Question: How can I get involved with the Robey PTO?
Answer: A representative of the Robey PTO will attend each Robey Fall Parent Meeting. You will have the opportunity at these meetings to join the PTO and/or volunteer to help with PTO activities. It only costs $3 to join the PTO, but you do not have to join the PTO in order to volunteer for PTO activities. Regardless of whether you join the PTO or volunteer to help, the PTO would like to give you a free gift. This gift is a calendar to display all the Robey events. The Robey PTO will also send home a more inclusive calendar/newsletter each month that will let you know about events taking place at the school.
Question: I’ve signed-up to help w-ith PTO activities in the past, but nobody ever called me. What should I do about this?
Answer: Finding volunteers is hard work, and it is often difficult to reach busy people. If you do not receive a telephone call about volunteering for a certain event, please call one of the following PTO officers/committee chairpersons and let them know you are willing to lend a hand! DO NOT BE SHY!

Question: What is the difference between a PTO general meeting and a PTO board meeting?
Answer: PTO general meetings are short, informative presentations that briefly report on the PTO’s activities. These meetings are usually held in conjunction with another PTO activity (e.g., the Ice Cream Social). PTO board meetings are held once a month. PTO board members are required to attend these meeting to discuss and vote on the business of the PTO. People who are not PTO board members are also welcome to come and observe PTO board meetings. If you are not a member of the board, but would like to bring up an issue with the board, contact PTO President. The president will put you and your issue on the agenda for the next PTO board meeting.
