The MSD of Wayne Township is committed to meeting the educational needs of each student. The office of Special Services Coordinates and is responsible for determining eligibility for education and providing special education and related services.
After the completion of an educational evaluation, a case conference is held to determine eligibility. If the student is eligible for services, an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is developed. Special education services include specially designed instruction, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
Services for Home schooled and Non-public School Students
Home Schooled students who reside in Wayne Township can be evaluated at a parent’s request to determine eligibility for special education and related services. To initiate a referral, the parent of a home schooled student should call the Office of Special Services at 227-8635.Non-public school students who attend a private/non-public school located within the boundaries of MSD Wayne Township may also be eligible for evaluations and special education and related services. Parents of non-public school students can initiate a referral for evaluation by contacting the principal of the non-public school or calling the Office of Special Services at 227-8635.
