EnglishJenny Aykroyd is in her first year with AVE but she is no stranger to Wayne Township. Mrs. Aykroyd began her teaching career at Ben Davis in 2001 and has also served as an English Department Chairperson and as an Itech teacher. She earned her bachelor's degree in English and Physical Education from Grand Valley State University and her master's degree in Educational Technology from Indiana University. She spent eight years coaching the BD Brain Game team and took this team to four national academic tournaments representing the state of Indiana. She spends her free time reading and watching her children play sports Email Ms. Aykroyd![]() Katrina Craven is in her second year of teaching at Ben Davis High School and is excited to be a part of Achieve Virtual Education Academy! She received a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism from Indiana University-Bloomington and stayed to obtain a teaching license in the Transition to Teaching Program. She is the co-sponsor of BD Buddies and BD Refugee Ambassadors at Ben Davis. She also coaches cheerleading at Park Tudor High School (although her heart is with the GIANTS). She has a dog (Kirkwood) and a cat (Lily) at home and spends her free time catching up on her reading and hanging out with family and friends. He has taught various levels of English at the high school levels including Advanced Placement, English 11, American Literature I/II, English 10 I/II, and Etymology. Mr. Faires earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Saint Francis (Ft. Wayne) and his master’s degree from Ball State University. Mr. Faires believes in the value and importance of online education and is committed to the advancement of virtual education. He is also a football coach at Ben Davis High School and enjoys working out and spending time with family.

![]() Miss McCann Meagan McCann is in her second year of teaching at Ben Davis High School and is honored to be a part of Achieve Virtual Academy. She received a bachelor’s degree in English Education from University of Indianapolis, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is the sponsor of Future Educators of America at Ben Davis. In her free time, she likes to play volleyball, read, and hang out with her friends and family. ![]() Mrs. Rose Shannon Rose is in her 11th year of teaching at Ben Davis High School and 2nd year at AVE. Currently she is teaching sophomore honors English and Humanities ad BDH and English 9 - 12 at AVE. When not at school, Rosey, as her friends and many students call her, spends as much time with her family as possible. She has a 2 year old son, Phineas, with her husband of 10 years, Mike. She also moonlights in the summer as a security coordinator for a local event security company focusing primarily on concert venues. She has also worked in this position for 11 years, so she is no stranger to live music - name a performer and band that has been through Indy in the last 10 years, and she has probably seen and heard them. Her other interests include the arts and traveling. |
