Traumatic Brain Injury, Orthopedic Impairments and Other Health Impairments

West Central Joint Services Special Education Cooperative provides support to students with disabilities.  Three of the disabilities West Central Joint Services serves are in the areas of Traumatic Brain Injury, Orthopedic Impairment, and Other Health Impairment.  Students within the cooperative who have one of these disabilities are typically served in their home corporation and follow the curriculum guidelines set forth by that corporation.  West Central Joint Services' consulting teachers ensure that educational needs related to each student's disability are met through direct service, consultation with school staff, including related services staff, and provision of necessary assistive technology devices and services.  The consulting teachers for the areas of Traumatic Brain Injury, Orthopedic Impairment, and Other Health Impairment all receive on-going training.
