All auditions are held at the Ben Davis High School Theatre. Enter through door #2. Audtions start at 6 p.m. on both nights.

Variety-The Musical Logo

Variety – The Musical auditions are scheduled for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. each night. Auditions are open for all. Please prepare 16-32 bars of music. Come prepared to dance. You may be asked to read and sing from the show. Accompanist will be provided.

Variety - The Musical will be directed by Kristopher Owens.

Variety – The Musical is a musical with book and lyrics by Kristopher Owens and music by Patrick McAlexander. Featuring a cast of colorful sets, costumes, and equally colorful characters, Variety is the story of Rose Patterson, a comedienne and host of the 70’s variety show, “Variety”.

Rose’s life is going great until she learns from her producer/husband that the show is going to be cancelled for a show starring a younger, sexier Latina bombshell. That bombshell, Mitzi, is a rising star on Variety, and a woman whose big break came from Rose. But not only is Mitzi taking Rose’s show, she’s taking her husband as well.

In front of a live, studio audience, Rose learns that through the ups and downs of showbiz and relationships, life is always a little better with a little Variety!
