Wayne Township Community Theatre's 10th anniversary season has now concluded.
2002 launched the inaugural year of Wayne Township Community Theatre. A teacher, Scott Cline and Gus Pearcy, a local member of the community, brought the concept to the Wayne Township Education Foundation as a summer fund raiser. At the time, very few theatres were doing summer shows, so this seemed to be a niche Wayne Township Community Theatre could fit. Further, there are no theatres on the west-side of Indianapolis. Each year the program has grown with increased Encore nominations and accolades. In 2008, WTCT introduced very successful Kids Theater Summer Camps and will continue to host them in the future.
