Construction and Renovation Projects History
The school buildings that our students learn in each day have grown and changed over the years. Wayne Township’s very first school was built back in 1852. The first of our existing schools was originally built in 1937 – the current Ben Davis University High School (originally Wayne Township High School/Ben Davis High School).
The list of our construction and renovation projects below is what we’ve been able to piece together from documents we’ve found in our archives. We’ve also found some great old photos of schools that don’t even exist in Wayne Township any more, and we’ve included photos of our current buildings. You might be surprised to learn how many buildings we maintain in MSD Wayne!
