Stacey Pollard Named Wayne Way Volunteer Award Recipient

Stacey Pollard doesn't volunteer when it's convenient. She volunteers when there's a need—and she's been doing it for years.

A parent of children who have attended McClelland Elementary, Stacey has become the kind of volunteer every school wishes for: someone willing to help whenever, wherever, and however needed. Whether it's substituting in classrooms, running fundraisers, bringing treats for students, donating food for classroom pets, or helping with lessons, Stacey shows up with genuine care and enthusiasm.

One story perfectly captures what Stacey brings to McClelland. The day before spring break, the school held its 6th grade store—an event where all 126 students could purchase items using their green Dojo points that they'd earned throughout the year.

Stacey volunteered to help service the store. According to staff, it ran more smoothly than ever. In a situation that could easily become chaotic, Stacey's presence and attention made all the difference for students and staff alike.

What sets Stacey apart is her willingness to support not just students, but staff members too. She's dependable, reliable, and genuinely invested in the McClelland community.

"She is an exceptional person who supports and cares about the students and staff in Wayne," her nominator said simply.

This month, Stacey Pollard was recognized as a recipient of the Wayne Way Volunteer Award for her exceptional commitment, positive impact on students, and support of our school and community.

For your willingness to step up, your dedication to our staff and students, and your unwavering commitment to McClelland Elementary—thank you, Stacey!
