Wayne Township Celebrates 11th Annual Dare to Dream Awards

Wayne Township Celebrates 11th Annual Dare to Dream Awards

The M.S.D. of Wayne Township marked a special evening on Feb. 26, 2026, to honor some of its most inspiring members at the 11th Annual Dare to Dream Awards Ceremony. Hosted by Dr. Shenia Suggs and the Office of Special Services, the event was held at Chapel Hill 7th & 8th Grade Center from 6:00–7:30 p.m.

The ceremony celebrated individuals with disabilities whose accomplishments stand out, as well as the students, staff, and community members who support them. Award recipients were presented by a school administrator from their own building alongside Dr. Suggs and Dr. Dowell.

Congratulations to all of this year's Dare to Dream nominees for their selfless efforts to contribute to the MSD of Wayne Township community. It was inspiring to honor these incredible individuals for their determination to rise above challenges and break barriers — alongside the dedicated supporters who help make these accomplishments possible. Thanks to all the students, parents, administrators, teachers, and community members who support our students in achieving their dreams.

The Dare to Dream Awards are held annually by the Office of Special Services and recognize outstanding contributions across nine award categories, including student awards for courage, advocacy, and goal-setting, as well as recognition for educators, paraeducators, administrators, and community members who champion inclusive practices throughout Wayne Township.
